Privacy Policy
This policy explains what happens to the information you send us through this website. It is written to meet the information duty in Articles 13 and 14 of the General Data Protection Regulation (EU) 2016/679.
Who is responsible
Olga’s Luxury Villa, Kontrakia, Corfu 49100, Greece, is the data controller for the information described here. You can reach us at olgasluxuryvilla.corfu@gmail.com or on +30 698 880 3182.
This site does not track you
There is no analytics, no advertising and no profiling on this website, and it sets no cookies of its own. Nothing is stored on your device when you browse it, which is why you are not asked to accept anything.
What we collect, and why
The only information we collect is what you type into the enquiry form: your name, email address, requested check-in and check-out dates, number of guests, and optionally your phone number and any details you add about your trip.
- Purpose: to answer your enquiry, confirm whether the villa is available, and arrange your stay.
- Consequence of not providing it: the form cannot be submitted without a name, email address, dates and guest count, because we cannot answer an enquiry without them. The phone number and trip details are optional.
We do not use your details for marketing, and we will not send you anything you did not ask for.
Who else sees it
Form submissions are delivered to our email inbox by Formspree (Formspree Inc., United States), which acts as our processor for that delivery, and are then held in our Google Workspace / Gmail mailbox. Both transfers to the United States rely on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and the European Commission's adequacy decision of 10 July 2023, together with the standard contractual clauses in those providers' terms.
This site is hosted on GitHub Pages (GitHub, Inc.), which processes your IP address in its server logs in order to serve the page to you, as any web server must.
Every other file this page needs — its fonts, styles, scripts and photographs — is served from this same website, so no other company sees that you visited it.
The location map on the home page is supplied by Google Maps. It is not loaded until you press the button to load it. If you do, Google receives your IP address and may set its own cookies; if you do not, nothing is sent to Google at all. You can instead follow the plain link that opens Google Maps in a new tab, which is subject to Google's own privacy policy.
If you contact us on WhatsApp instead of using the form, that conversation happens on WhatsApp and is governed by its own privacy terms.
We do not sell your information and we do not share it with anyone beyond what is listed above.
How long we keep it
We delete enquiry correspondence within six months of the enquiry, whether or not it led to a booking.
The one exception is where an enquiry becomes an actual stay: the booking and payment records that follow from it are kept for as long as Greek tax and accounting law requires us to keep them, which is longer than six months and is not something we can waive. That obligation covers the booking record itself, not the enquiry conversation, which is still deleted on the six-month schedule.
You can ask us to delete your enquiry sooner at any time.
Your rights
Under Articles 15 to 22 GDPR you have the right to ask us for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected or erased, to have its processing restricted, to receive it in a portable form, and to object to processing that we base on our legitimate interests. Write to olgasluxuryvilla.corfu@gmail.com and we will respond within one month.
Changes
If we change how we handle your information we will update this page and the date at the top of it.
